Africa Seminary
Have you looked for spiritual meaning in your life – a place where you might explore the deeper meaning of things? Are there questions you carry for which you have not yet found an answer?
There is a place where people can come and work on the spiritual aspect of their own life path. There is a place where people can come and explore the question of whether priesthood might be a life-path for them. The Africa Seminary of The Christian Community – movement for Religious Renewal may be that place for you.
The Africa Seminary is connected to The Christian Community – a worldwide movement for religious renewal that seeks to open the path to the living, healing presence of Christ in the age of the free individual. It is intended for people with a questioning mind who wish to better understand their possible true purpose in the world.
“All the flowers of tomorrow are in the seeds of today” (Ancient Proverb). A seminary derives its name from the Latin ‘seminal’ which implies a beginning, a quiet unfolding in the womb of the earth. A seed grows in the space and time afforded it. There are no quick fixes, instant solutions or accelerated learning paths in the Africa Seminary. Having started small and on an ad-hoc meeting basis, the Africa Seminary is now established as a part-time modular programme for self-development and an ever deepening understanding of a modern Christian Path in the twenty-first century.
Looking further into the future, the Africa Seminary intends to become a fully- fledged seminary of The Christian Community, training priests and preparing them for the Sacrament of Ordination.
